Tony Boakes – After a sold first full season, collecting 50 points and finishing a creditable 13th. Tony is now looking to cement yet another season in the Northern League and compliment that with a more attractive blend of football, a cup run & improving on last years league position.
John Stoker – Joined the club as assistant manager having spent several years managing junior and youth teams. Started at Tunstall FC enjoying success with league titles and County Cups. More recently he joined Durham City FC looking after the U18 squad reaching no less than 3 cup finals in as many years. Many of Jon’s players also made it into the first team. Jon is also proud to be part of the ESFA U18 management team.

Bobby Coltman – Joined the club as a first team coach. Bobby founded and coached Beamish Dynamos, disability section of Beamish FC, who have become one of the biggest disability clubs in the North East of England. Bobby was also selected as coach for the Special Olympics Great Britain National Team in 2013. In 2015 the GB team were crowned world champions and took home gold medals from LA, USA. His next target is the World Games in Abu Dhabi in 2019.

Shannon Swift – Shannon joins the club her brother Jonathan has served well for the last two years. Currently studying, she will bring vital skills to the club whilst improving her own experience
Mark Fish – Fishy was given the number one jersey after joining midway through the 2016/17, he has steadily improved throughout the season benefitting from more confidence within the team. Joe Wilkinson – first joined the club last season, with the unfortunate moniker of ‘Young Defender” quickly established himself as a key member of the first team, most notably his performances against Gateshead bound Langstaff and league top scorer Hutchinson last season
Mykel Summerson – Returning for a second season. Mykel showed superb strength and leadership at centre half or right back and not afraid of a tackle. Great in the dressing room. A striker all the way through youth football, he has looked comfortable at centre half, his footballing idol is Thierry Henry. Previous Club:- Coxhoe Athletic, Spennymoor reserves, Spennymoor Youth.

Max Stoker – Club captain, popular man in the club and a leader who his starting yet another season at the club. Max has the ability to ooze class and cruise around the field. Always putting pressure on the opposition, his own players and officials to benefit his team. Max lists his favourite players as Paul Scholes or Cristiano Ronaldo. Callum Boakes – After an impressive junior career, featuring two England Schoolboy caps and 7 years in academy football, Callum joined Esh Winning a week after the new management took over. Growing in maturity with every season that passes he is excellent with the ball at his feet, has a knack for scoring and also has a deadly set piece in him.
Scott Arnott – A tough tackling midfielder, has played for the management team at other sides before joining Esh two years ago. A leader on the pitch and adds bite in the midfield. Previous clubs:- Birtley, Crook, Prudhoe
Chris Mordue – joined us during the 2016/17 season, Chris quickly cemented his first team credentials with excellent right wing displays. Throughout the 17/18 season he has found himself being used in a multitude of positions. His favourite player is Joey Barton, and is a former Junior Commonwealth Swimmer. Gavin Brown – Returning for a second season, A hard tackling midfielder, former captain under the management team at Crook. Lists his favourite player as Cristiano Ronaldo. Previous Clubs:- Willington, Crook Town
Jake McKellar – Shows tremendous energy and covers every blade of grass for the full 90minutes. A hardworking player who looks very comfortable on the right wing. Jake started his early football career with Esh Winning U18’s. Previous Clubs – Tow Law, Consett U23’s, Esh Winning U18’s
Reece Brown – An attack minded midfielder Reece adds pace and creativity to the midfield. After a superb start to the 17/18 season, he picked up a nasty knock away at Chester-le-Street, only returning to full fitness towards the end of the season. With a full preseason behind him he is again firing on all cylinders and looking to improve his production this year. He is another who lists Cristiano Ronaldo as his favourite player and is a Man United fan. Previous Clubs:- Spennymoor, Willington & Crook
Jayven Redman –Jayven is a quick tricky forward who will offer a different dimension to the squad. He spent time at SAFC Academy and was a regular County player scoring in national finals at both u16 and u18 level. Previous Club: Seaham Red Star, Easington Colliery
Connor Halpin – Joining the club midway through last season, Connor showed his pedigree becoming the clubs top scorer by the end of the season. Strong and a real eye for goal, and with a full pre-season behind him he will be a key member of the squad this season. Previous Club: Birtley, Hartlepool United

Nick Marley – Made a good impact when arriving in the 16/17 season, dominant every time he stepped foot on the pitch in the 17/18 season, leads the line well and is a triple threat with both feet and his head. Jonathan Swift – Swift was the man of many positions last season, the very definition of a club man he never let the team down in whatever position he played.
