Match Preview – Esh Winning v Billingham Town – 15/4/17

Following on from an undeserved defeat against at Blyth Town, we welcome a Billingham Town team who still are mathematically in with a shout of promotion, albeit reliant on other teams dropping points around them.

Esh go in to our last game of the season with several key players unavailable with work commitments or injury; Andrew Clarkson, James Huntley, Nick Marley, Scott Arnott, Dan Robinson and Tom Young join long term absentees Joe Kerry and Michael Gray on the unavailable list. The returning Mathew Soulsby and Kai Hewitson will be looking to fill in where they can. Ethan Stephenson may get his chance up front following on from a good cameo on Wednesday night.

As for our visitors, we will be looking forward to welcoming former Esh men Carl Morris and Luke Hogan; the latter playing a key role in keeping the Stags up last season. The leagues top scorer Craig Hutchinson, who has 50 league goals this season, will be instrumental and must be kept quiet by the Stags if we are to gain points from the game.

Elsewhere in the league Hebburn entertain a Ryton side just three points below us; all eyes at Esh will be checking the Twitter feeds nervously throughout the game.

Come and join us in what promises to be an entertaining game.
