Esh Winning go into a massive Friday night fixture against Brandon on the back of a superb 4-3 win over Northallerton last Saturday. The win saw the Stags raise of the bottom of the table at a crucial time in the season. The final three games see us take on Brandon, Blyth Town and Billingham Town, with a difficult run in it is critical that the lads put on a strong performance against a team sat 14th in the Northern League Division 2.
In the reverse fixture, Esh recorded the first win of the season with a 2-0 victory, a game not for the faint hearted with some superb last ditch defending and even a penalty save in the 85th minute.
Esh go into the game with a strong looking squad, the missing players being club captain, Max Stoker will be a big miss, along with Mark Bailes who after some impressive displays has work commitments which rule him out for the rest of the season. The returning Scott Arnott, Callum Boakes, James Huntley among others will be looking to plug the gap with all three being permanent fixtures in the squad over the past few months. Esh also survive a scare with goalkeeper Mark Fish, who seemed likely to miss the match until yesterday evening.
Unfortunately there seems to be no team news from the Brandon side, nor has the Northern Echo produced its weekly preview at the time of writing.
